Started reading and came across your post about really wanting your one year old daughter's ears pierced, but has tiny ears. I had a similar experience at Claire's telling me our daughter's ears at 10 months were too small.

When we saw our pediatrician at her 12 months appointment, I asked her whether she thought Sandi's ears were too small. She smiled, said no. She then reached into her pocket and took out a picture of her six month little girl with cute little gold balls in each ear, saying," saying her daughter was a preemie and had very tiny ears too." Smiling, she said perhaps the piercer was uncomfortable piercing baby ears or inexperienced. However, Sandi's ears were large enough for sure. I asked where she took her daughter. She said Piercing Pagoda. I asked why and said their professional training and experience in infant ear piercing was excellent. She went onto say she recommended them to all moms who asked and then handed me some "suggestions for mom having their daughter's ears pierced" since so many moms ask about it. Her tips included how to find the right person/place as well as OTC meds to minimize any discomfort. She had so many moms ask her that she put these tips together.

She was right! We took her there and it was no problem and her earrings were perfect on her little lobes. I think if you called and spoke to a manager/asst. manager at Piercing Pagoda, your mind would be put at ease and she would come home from the adventure with little earrings :)

I think you are a smart mommy wanting to have your daughter's ears pierced now. Your mommy intuition is telling earlier is better and maybe this idea will help bring the day your daughter's ears pierced a little closer.

Don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail if you'd like our ped's suggestions.

Amyswor1765@gmail.com Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
